Stage 2 Projects
The projects in Stage 2 focus on developing an understanding of Science and Technology, focusing on developing their skills through many of the different projects. Learning to develop their ideas and have the opportunity to create is an important part of our activities.
The first project that we started with was looking at rockets and learning how they are designed we launched them using a bike pump and discovered that they go really high. This was a very engaging project and the kids learned a lot about the design process.
Other projects that we have been focusing on in Stage 2 are:

Other projects that we have been focusing on in Stage 2 are:
- How do Living things grow? We have been growing bean shoots to see how light affects their growth. The other project that our students found memorable were watching tadpoles growing and changing into frogs. The challenge for teachers were to keep them alive!
- Remote Learning Projects: We discovered that our students showed lots of creativity and design ingenuity when it came to remote learning. We set up lessons on Seesaw for students to complete at home. Click on the link below to see the projects and find examples of students work.
- Innovation and Creativity groups: The purpose of these groups are to develop student's curiosity and foster imagination without having an assessment task attached. It means they can freely create, collaborate and explore different mediums such as using paddlepop sticks or cardboard. They have learnt skills such as coding through robotics or
