Entry event for Tinkertime: The building of MACCOT and Take Home Challenge
For our entry event, the students were asked to bring in a photo of their house. Our event involved the whole school and every class built a replica of their own house.
We set up a street in our playground, that students and parents could tour. The second part of our event was a take home challenge. The purpose of this was to involve parents in thr process of designing, creating and building. Each family was given a pack to take home which consisted of adhesive copper wire, a small battery and a set of instructions. They were asked to create a poster that represented a home in space. It was amazing to see the projects that came in and how students were able to explain what they had learned. |

Inventions to help the ElderlyThis project was memorable because of the amazing learning that came from it and a project that helped us understand project based learning.
The students researched about the needs of the elderly and were asked to design an invention that would assist them in their day to day living. |
